Where is Trump's tribute?
The United States has five living former presidents.
Four of them have spoken eloquently about the death of former Secretary of State and retired Army Gen. Colin Powell.
Presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama have joined President Biden in speaking of the stellar service Powell delivered to the nation … in times of war and peace.
Oh, but wait! One of them has remained silent since the world heard the sad news of Powell’s death.
Hmm. Who would that be? Oh, it’s Donald J. Trump, the man possessed with spreading the Big Lie about phony voter fraud and with protecting his rear end against possible prosecution.
I wonder why he couldn’t take a moment to sign off on a statement praising the stellar public service of a gallant warrior and statesman.
