Welcome aboard, Neil Cavuto
It fills my heart with hope and a bit of joy to hear the chorus of those who have influence over others say that the best way to prevent illness from a killer virus is to get vaccinated.
The latest to start singing from that song sheet is Fox News commentator Neil Cavuto. He tested positive for the COVID-19 virus and I believe he is on the road to a full recovery. I wish him well.
I also hope his message isn’t lost on many viewers of his and the network for which he works. It is that we need to get vaccinated. The vaccines work. They are overwhelmingly effective in preventing infection, hospitalization and, yes, death from the coronavirus.
I don’t normally associate Cavuto with the right-wing nut jobs who populate Fox’s opinion desk. You know about whom I am writing, yes?
Still, many Fox News viewers are of a mind to resist government mandates to get vaccinated, claiming some form of “dictatorship” is developing under the Biden administration. They’re full of sh**. They also reek of fecal matter when they contend that the vaccines are “dangerous” to our health. I’ll let you in on a secret: My wife and I have received both Pfizer shots and the booster and neither of us has grown a third eye or extra digits on our hands and feet.
So, I welcome Neil Cavuto to the grown chorus of those who insist we get vaccinated. The more of them the better off we all will be.
